Why dont I have bats in my bat house?
We bought a bat house about a month ago, and put it out back on a tree, we cannot put it on our house, it is near a water source and gets the required amount of sunlight, so why are there no bats in it? we just seen one flying around our porch last night, so we know that we have them, should the bat house be moved out front to where they were seen, or will they find it eventually? please let us know.
Thanks Again.

How to locate and catch the bat in our house?
I’m staying with friends in Cambridge, and we found last night at about 11:30 that a bat had gotten into the house prob through a vent and was flying around. (This had never happened before.) We hid in the other room, and by about an hour later, the bat was nowhere to be found. We assumed it was freaked out and hiding somewhere, because her husband was banging around looking for it, but we couldn’t find it.We are very worried about the possibility of the bat being rabid, as they have a four-year-old daughter, and I’ve been reading online that most bats to get into your house are rabid, as they are disoriented. I also read that everyone who’s died of rabies in the US has contracted it through bat bites they didn’t know they had, since they are small and happen when you’re asleep.I’ve read on here how to get rid of a bat flying around, but what about a bat you can’t find? I doubt even a specialist would be willing to comb the house. And how scared should we be about rabiesWe cannot call professionals… it’s too expensive to be afforded right now.
Build Indiana Bat houses?
I am in an area in which the endangered Indiana bat spends it’s summers. I’d like to build a bat house to attract them. I need to know if there are any specs that are special to the Indiana bat that need to be considered for the housing. I’ve been on many websites about the Indiana bat and they don’t list any special specs but just want to cover this completely.
How long will it take for the bats to find my bat house?
I live in Augusta, Ga. I was wondering if bats would come this time of year, or would I have to wait until spring to see them. Thank You.
